Bridgestone - the Formula 1 expert
Founded in Japan in 1931, the name of the renowned tyre manufacturer Bridgestone is derived from the name of the company founder "Ishibashi". The meaning of his Japanese name "Stonebridge" was translated into English ("Bridgestone") in favor of an internationally catchy company name. As one of the five largest international tyre manufacturers, Bridgestone is known for its high-performance tire technology. In particular, the company used this company as the sole supplier of Formula 1 in the years 2007 to 2010.
For regular road traffic, Bridgestone manufactures high-quality tyre models, for example, with the so-called run-flat technology. This also makes it possible to travel safely without a tyre damage. In addition to various tyre models for the industrial sector, motorcycles, cars, trucks, agricultural vehicles, the Japanese world-wide company also produces motorcycles until 1970.
Bridgestone, the world's largest rubber manufacturer
Bridgestone is widely regarded as one of the most popular original equipment manufacturers for new cars from a wide range of automotive brands. In addition to standard tyres, the traditional company also produces tailor-made tyre solutions for cars with smaller production numbers. For this, Bridgestone has a development and research department, which is constantly working on the optimization of the various products.
Bridgestone is not only active as a tyre manufacturer in the automotive market. Earth moving mechanisms, tennis, golf and shipping industry products are also part of Bridgestone's portfolio of services. The company has annual sales of more than 28 billion euros and employs more than 135,000 employees worldwide.
