Environmentally Friendly Tyres

In recent years, the demand for environmentally friendly products has risen significantly.

All major tyre manufacturers - such as Michelin, Goodyear, Bridgestone and Continental - have begun to optimize their products. The focus is clearly on the increase in the service life of the tyres, as fewer old tyres affect the environment.

Michelin introduced the first eco-friendly tyre in 1992. Since then, there have been many technical innovations designed to ensure more sustainability. A particular structure of the profile ensures, for example, that the tyres have less wear.

Renault introduced the prototype "Eolab" in 2014. The car is equipped with special Michelin tyres and is particularly economical. On a distance of 60 miles only about 1 liter of fuel is consumed. The tyres also play a major role in this value.

The so-called Michelin Tall & Narrow tyre has a comparatively large diameter and is very narrow. Its innovative construction allows for high driving comfort, low rolling resistance and very good protection against aquaplaning. Thanks to its narrow dimensions, it ensures low fuel consumption. It is also very long-lasting due to its special profile and last longer than conventional tyres. This not only protects the environment, but also your wallet.
